About us

Dear Haretna Readers,

It is with immense joy and gratitude that I welcome you to the vibrant world of Haretna Magazine. As the creator of this platform, my name is Sama Najjar, a 22-year-old Palestinian Jordanian with an unyielding passion for art, fashion, and the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage.

Haretna was born out of a desire to create a space where the voices and talents of Jordanian artists could shine. Growing up surrounded by the diverse and dynamic artistic community of Jordan, I felt a calling to provide a platform that celebrates the richness of our local talent.

For me, Haretna is not just a magazine; it is a labor of love, a celebration of creativity, and a testament to the wealth of artistic expression within our community. As a Palestinian Jordanian, I carry the stories and traditions of my heritage with pride, and through Haretna, I aim to weave these narratives into the fabric of our artistic dialogue

My love for fashion has been a guiding force in shaping the identity of Haretna. Fashion is more than just clothing; it is a form of storytelling, a means of self-expression, and a powerful reflection of our cultural roots. With Haretna, I aspire to showcase the intersection of fashion, art, and identity, offering a platform for emerging and established talents alike to shine.

In the pages of Haretna, you will find a diverse array of voices, perspectives, and talents. From the busy streets of Amman to the serene landscapes of Jordan, Haretna magazine aims to capture the essence of our artistic community and the stories that make it unique.

I extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible artists, writers, photographers, and creatives who have contributed to this first issue. Your passion and dedication have brought Haretna to life, and I am honored to share your work with our readers.

To our readers, thank you for joining us on this journey. Haretna is a celebration of the creativity that thrives in our region, and I hope you find inspiration, joy, and a sense of connection within its pages.

Here’s to a future filled with art, culture, and the boundless creativity of Jordanian artists.

HARETNA’S AIMS
Haretna provides a prominent platform for Jordanian artists, designers, and cultural practitioners, offering them visibility and recognition within the country and hopefully in the future on a global stage!

We explore the intersection of traditional and contemporary art forms, emphasizing the dynamic evolution of Jordan’s cultural identity and creative scene.

WHY HARETNA?

In my view as the creative director, the magazine resembles a neighborhood. While everyone lives on the same street and in the same area, each household has people with diverse talents. It’s this diversity that makes the creative scene in Jordan so unique, which is precisely why HARETNA is the platform for celebrating fashion, art, design, and culture.
